We are delighted to share our new and updated proofing tool for custom orders. We are confident you'll love the ease of use, simplistic design and amazing features of the updated tool and are sure it will make reviewing and approving custom orders easier than ever!
We have outlined the changes and updates included in the new-look below:
How will I know a Proof is Ready?
While the look of the email you receive will look slightly different, you will still receive notification that a proof is ready for review via email. Within the email, you will be able to click on the link that will take you directly to the proof- easy!
Missed the email? No problem! You will be able to find any available proof link with the hyble order details at any time.
How do I make Amends/Comments?
Once you click on the link to view the proof, you will be taken to our updated tool.
With the use of our handy new 'Red Pen' tool, you will be able to highlight amends and leave comments easily. There are four ways to use the 'Red Pen' tool to note amends and these can be selected by hovering over the icon and clicking to select your preferred option. To change the option, simply hover over the pen and select the option you want! The 'Red Pen' can be found as the first option in the panel of icons at the left-hand side of the proof.
1. Red Pen
Use this option to click anywhere on the proof to highlight an issue or and drag your cursor to highlight a specific area on the design. Once an area is highlighted, a comment box will generate to prompt you to leave a note about what you want changed.
Once you have typed your comment, click the green arrow to attach it to the design.
2. Highlight Pen
Use this option to highlight specific text that may need revised. Once text is highlighted, a comment box will generate that includes the text you have highlighted, add or update the text in the comment box to inform the designer what you want changed.
Once you have typed your comment, click the green arrow to attach it to the design.
3. Drawing Pen
If you want to get creative, use the drawing pen to draw on the design. A comment box will still appear at the right-hand side for you to describe what change you want.

4. General Comment
Just want to add a general comment? No problem! Simply click on the below option when you hover over the pen to add a comment with no mark up on the design. The comment box will show at the right-hand panel along with all other comments.

Once you have left your comments and amend notes for the design, please ensure you submit these by clicking 'Send To-Do List' in the bottom right corner of the page. If this button is not clicked, your comments will not be sent to the designer for action.
How do I Zoom in on my Design?
Easy! Simply click on the magnifying icon, highlighted below, and increase or decrease the screen zoom percentage.
How do I Approve?
When you are ready to approve your order, simply click on the 'Finished' button at the bottom right-hand corner and click 'Approved'. This will alert the designer that the order is ready to be printed. Please note, once approved, no final changes can be made.
Can I Upload Files?
Yes! We are delighted to offer the option of attaching files to proof comments. Within any comment box, you will be able to click on the paperclip button and attach files directly from your device. Write a comment about what the attachment should be used for and send your comment by clicking on the green send arrow.
Help, I've made a mistake!
If you want to revert or delete something you have done, you will be able to do this using the undo/redo and trashcan buttons that show at the left-hand panel.
Made a mistake on a comment? No problem! Click the three dots in the top corner of the comment and edit or delete!
How do I move to a new page?
Flicking between pages is simple, simply click on the arrows at the bottom panel to move forward and back through your design. Want to see all pages in one view? No problem, just click on the grid in the middle of the arrows to show this.
You will also have the option to bookmark pages to come back to should you need.
How do I download a copy?
To download a copy of your proof, proceed to the bottom toolbar and click the download option (highlighted below). Your file will be downloaded as a PDF to share customers if you wish.
Can I compare versions?
Yes! If you have multiple versions from amends, you will be able to compare view and compare these in our new proofing tool.
If available, you will be able to switch between versions by clicking on the dropdown in the bottom toolbar
Please note, you will only be able to make amends and comment on the most recent version of a design.
How do I know what part of the design my comment relates to?
Once you have left a comment on a specific area of the design, you will be able to click on the submitted comment and the system will highlight where on the design the comment is linked to. This will be shown to you by flashing or extending the area that was highlighted on the design.
Any other great features?
Absolutely! Our magic tools icon hosts a list of useful features to help you review your proof.
By clicking on the magic wand icon (the third option in the left-hand toolbar), you will be able to select from the following options:
- Focus Mode: Remove toolbar to allow you to focus completely on design
- Ruler: Click and drag to measure anything on the page
- Gridlines: utilize gridlines to show measurements and page position
- Invert Pen Color: Colour of the pen hard to see against your design? Invert the color of the pen to show this more clearly
Want to see other information on your proof? Simply click on the last icon in the left-hand panel to see information on the file, who owns it and approver info!
